Comprehensive Chronic Care Management and Support

PrEP (Pre‑Exposure Prophylaxis) is highly effective at preventing HIV when taken as prescribed. Options include:

  • Daily Truvada® (tenofovir/emtricitabine) — a once‑daily pill for ongoing protection.
  • Apretude® (cabotegravir) — an injection given every 2 months after two initiation doses for long‑acting protection.

We’ll review your health history, run baseline labs, and help you choose the option that fits best. Follow‑up is typically every 2–3 months for check‑ins and routine testing.

Most insurance plans cover PrEP. We can discuss copay assistance and self‑pay options.

If you think you’ve been exposed to HIV, start PEP as soon as possible. It’s a short course of daily medication taken for 28 days and is most effective when started within 72 hours of exposure.

FAQ: PrEP

PrEP is recommended for people at ongoing risk of HIV exposure—including men who have sex with men, transgender women and men, people with an HIV‑positive partner, and anyone who wants extra protection. We’ll help you decide.

After two initiation doses one month apart, Apretude is given every 2 months.

Most plans cover PrEP and PEP. We’ll help navigate benefits and assistance programs.
